Can I import my State Page and Schedule T data?
Yes, you can import your “S File” directly into PremaTax. This file is a tab-delimited text file generated by your Annual Statement software. This file includes key data such as the State Page, Schedule T, and general company information. If the file isn’t available when needed, PremaTax also allows for manual data entry to keep your workflow moving.
How do I import other data into PremaTax?
PremaTax provides spreadsheet templates that can be imported directly into the software allowing for easy data entry and import of data. This import functionality is supported for schedules like the General Company Information, State Page, Schedule T, GFA Credits, Agent Input, Qualified Life and Annuity Premiums/Dividends, Estimates and Pre-allocated Municipal data.
Can I e-file via OPTins from within PremaTax?
Yes, most OPTins filings can be e-filed from within PremaTax. If paying via ACH Debit, your payment will be submitted as well. If paying via ACH Credit, the bank addenda text will be generated with which you can separately send the payment from your bank account.
A few OPTins filings must be exported as an excel form to be uploaded onto the OPTins site. The NAIC does not support full integration for certain forms.
Do you support state e-filing besides OPTins?
We are fully integrated for e-filing of Florida, Michigan, Minnesota, and New York premium tax returns. We are currently working with the state of Louisiana and expect to be fully integrated for the 2025 tax year.
For Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, New Hampshire, and South Dakota, PremaTax allows you to easily export a file that can be directly imported into the online portal for e-filing. No data entry required.
Can you add custom forms?
We expect to release this functionality this summer. It will be a convenient way to add forms/tasks to the calendar for easy tracking.
Can I open two instances of PremaTax at the same time?
Yes, to open a second window, you’ll need to use a different browser or open an Incognito/InPrivate tab within the same browser. This allows you to view different forms or tax years side by side.
Do you have municipal tax forms and/or allocation functionality?
Yes, we have both. Our allocation solution, PremaTax GIS, is certified with the State of Kentucky and utilizes state-approved address databases for New York and Florida.
Do you have supplemental forms in addition to premium tax forms?
We have some of the most often used supplemental forms built into PremaTax. For other forms, users will be able to add “custom forms” into PremaTax so no due dates are missed.
What advantages are there to PremaTax?
We would love to discuss that further in a software demonstration. Some of the more-often cited unique features include:
-
Comprehensive Attachment Audits: If a document needs to be included with a filing, an audit exists for it 99% of the time. For the rare exceptions, a note or tooltip may guide users.
-
Natively Built on the Cloud: We see many companies moving their products onto the cloud, which may lead to a reduction of software quality. PremaTax has been built from the ground up as a cloud-based web application.
-
Robust “Dashboard” Functionality: PremaTax includes a built-in Dashboard that includes a calendar and ability to sort and filter all premium tax forms in various ways.
-
Additional Tax Guidance: Statutes of limitation, and other statutory references are included in PremaTax and are typically updated on an annual basis.
-
ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2 Certified: This demonstrates our commitment to rigorous data security, risk management, and operational controls, giving you confidence that your sensitive information is protected and compliance requirements are met.
-
Flexible Contract Terms: We understand that every business has unique needs and are committed to working collaboratively to establish terms that work for both parties.
How do I export data out of PremaTax?
Tax Returns: PremaTax supports the ability to export all form data to the original state returns, whether that be a PDF form or an OPTins Excel form.
Schedule Data: Virtually every schedule in PremaTax can be easily exported to a spreadsheet for easy reporting and analysis. PremaTax also supports a comprehensive Summary of Taxes and Payment Request data, giving you a complete picture for accurate filings.
Is PremaTax “State Approved”?
Yes, for the states that require approval. We work closely with OPTins and states that require official form and e-file approval to get our forms tested and approved.
Does PremaTax support Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?
Yes, users can set up MFA within PremaTax settings.
Does the PremaTax Municipal Module support digital signatures?
Yes, for some filings, you only need to type in your signature one time, and the PremaTax will export the digital signature to each form for states that require a form for each municipal/county, such as Kentucky.
How do you ensure that your forms are up-to-date and accurate?
At Terabitten, we have a robust process dedicated to ensuring that our forms are up-to-date, and that our calculations are accurate. Our forms go through multiple rounds of testing before being released to our filers.

Terabitten also utilizes one of the leading GRC platform to help automate monitoring of our security, privacy, and compliance across the board to ensure that customer data is being handled properly. Will PremaTax slow down during high-traffic times such as tax season?
Absolutely not. Our infrastructure is built off of Google Cloud Platform which has a robust mechanism for auto-scaling. In other words, the application will be fast no matter how many users are using PremaTax at a given time.
Where will my PremaTax data be stored?
